The Dorks attempt to resume a sense of normalcy post San Diego Comic-Con. Normalcy being shots of rum and lots of recording. This week Turtle talks Jason Bourne. Wife Dork recaps the tail end of her time in San Diego with a trip to a live taping of the Put Your Hands Together Podcast. Mouth Dork takes a moment to reflect on the extraordinary life of his Grandpa. He also recounts he and Wife Dork's final west coast adventure with a trek (pun intended) to the iconic Vasquez Rocks. Disco reluctantly recaps his viewing of DC's highly anticipated animated feature The Killing Joke. But the only thing Disco really wants to talk about is the Alamo Drafthouse's special screening of only his favorite film of all time, that's right: Mad Max Fury Road. Just in time for his birthday! We of course then take a few questions before wrapping up.
Now that we've gotten Comic-Con out of the way(has we?) MouthDork can resume his regularly scheduled homework! Next up: Ted Demme's Life-starring Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy. MouthDork and TurtleDork discuss this often overlooked comedy gem from the 90's.

Hey dorks! We got a very special treat! You may have heard of a wonderful documentary going around about some kids who decided to make a shot-for-shot remake of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. After a very cool chat, we headed over to the Alamo Drafthouse where we joined the Secret Society of Film Massons for a screening of the actual documentary! And after the screening we headed over to the bar and got some thoughts on the film from some of the members of tSSoFM's!

And to make this even more special, in attendance was star of the film Greg Sestero. Greg was nice enough to hang out for a live Q & A and to also talk about his book The Disaster Artist. But before all of that awesome madness, we got to sit down with Greg and talk a little bit about the book, the film and his life post The Room. A very cool guy who made for a very cool interview. We hope you all enjoy!

TGIFF fellow dorks! This Fistful, we've got a Fistful of Dream Screenings. Inspired by the recent screening of Xanadu at the Alamo Drafthouse in One Loudon, which happens to be a dream screening for Mrs. Ruzin in celebration of her 9th anniversary with her husband, head of programming at the Alamo, and our friend Gabe Ruzin. So if we had it our way, these would be the films we'd screen theatrically with all of our friends and loved ones.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are proud to present our first entry in our new ITMOD Film Club! An offshoot of our HOMEWORKcast, ITMOD Film Club is a new monthly episode where we pick a film that we think you- our listeners, would dig or at least like to discuss. Once announced, you'll have a couple of weeks to check it out, then submit your questions or comments which we'll then read on the air and use to drive the discussion on the Film Club review episode! Which brings us to our first film, one that ITMOD has been championing ever since we got an advanced screening last year. And that film is The Invitation. The Turtle Dork is catching it for the first time so he and our listener questions and comments get the conversation going for this review. We hope you were able to catch the film and we hope you enjoy the episode. We'd like for it to catch on, so please spread the word. And don't forget to send us any recommendations for any films you think would make for a great discussion with the rest of our listeners!
